random option for meteor slideshow

Hi there!
Well, first off, I’m an amateur, so please excuse my ignorance. Secondly, I have tried to figure out from previous discussions on the random slideshow code how and where to place it. Can you help me with a) the code to use and b) where it should go? I’m using the Mystique theme and tried to use some of your suggestions in the CSS page, to no avail. I’m completely in the dark on metadata–just a heads up.
