Random number appearing in theme

    Hi,

    Seems like something got updated on server and now two of my wordpress installations are showing random numbers at the top and at the bottom of the theme.

    The number at top is a 4 digit number like 456e and at the bottom its always 0, both the numbers appear outside the html codes.

    How do I get rid of these random numbers?

    site url? or,
    check your page source, your theme files, export XML and see if the numbers appear there as well

    Naveen, found solution for this? Just moved the WP 2.8 site to new host and suddenly with the same codebase, these seemingly random strings started appearing on some pages.

    Got it! Sharing the solution with possible future desperados: this problem occurs when the HTTP protocol is downgraded to HTTP/1.0 (usually by an old proxy). Make sure you are able to enforce use of HTTP/1.1 and the fuzzy strings are gone …
