Just installed and activated the plugin (good so far!)

When inspecting browser cookies (incognito mode) there are 3 cookies listed made up of random characters (eg CpWRlxYEWN-nbTDy)

Are these cookies related to the WP Cerber plugin and if so, what is their purpose?

Sorry, should have gone deeper into previous support questions where it was revealed these relate to the anti-spam engine.

I have disabled ‘Protect comment form with bot detection engine’ and the cookies are no longer set.

Yes, you are right, they are part of the engine. Also these cookies are used here: https://wpcerber.com/how-to-protect-wordpress-against-cve-2018-6389/
