Hello, the last weeks i’ve thinking about spamming problem (akismet don’t catch a lot of spam 🙁 ). One solution is using captchas, but i think I’ve found another solution:
Spamming is easy to bots because all the fields in the forms have standardized names (or ids), if we create random names for each field (and the form too) for all the installations of wordpress (saving the names in the database or in a protected file) the task will be harder to the spammers. (Except if they use trackbacks). On the other hand, this measure will add a protection layer to the XSS attacks too.
If you find a mistake in the idea i want to learn why I’m wrong 🙂 . Bye!
