# Random Alphanumeric Text Spam

 * Two or three times a day I get a moderated comment in my spam filter with a random,
   alphanumeric string (“155eu9nhzd065vym”, e.g.) As far as I can tell there isn’t
   any hidden text or html in the message, and there’s no return url for a spammer
   to exploit. Just that simple text.
 * My question: Why bother?
