I know this isn’t possible, but this is what I’m down to.

My build sites are on HostGator hosting. I setup the theme on HG, it looked great. I have a Fresh install on WP from WordPress.org. FTP’d it to GoDaddy. Setup the site, installed the theme and then Add Posts $ Add Pages stopped working – I can’t even edit pages I have imported.

At first I thought I did something wrong in the install. So I deleted everything and put it on the back burner. I have a second client with a completely separate account who loved the theme. So I downloaded a fresh version of theme. Downloaded a fresh version of WP from WordPress.org – thinking one of them must be corrupt. Installed the theme on the second clients GoDaddy account and I have the same problem as the first client.

Even more odd, I can grab the theme using WordPress by using Appearance > Themes, Add New, Search – on my HostGator accounts, but not on mine or my clients GoDaddy accounts.

I was in such disbelieve that I’ve now tried it on 3 different GoDaddy accounts and 2 different HostGator accounts. It works every time on the HostGator hosting, but won’t on the GoDaddy hosting.

    What am I missing??

Can you have a talk with your host and let us know what they have to say about this as none of the other users are reporting such issues.

I can tell you my story with go daddy. I bought hosting and put up a site that had been used before many times. I had a sales page the order button would not work and the color around the form was gone. I called tech and they told me it was in my code.I told them this site was several years old and a guy gave it to me who was very well known in the im realm. They still said it was in my code. Finally i put it in a web editor and it worked fine so i took it out of go daddy hosting and moved it to hostgator
and after i did that every thing worked perfect. This guy told me use godaddy for domains but use hostgater for hosting. Now i know why.

As a web developer since 1995, I’ve been using GoDaddy since 2003-04. I don’t share your point of view of GD at all. However, I have a similar feeling towards hostgator. Sorry for your troubles.
