# Quoting not working

 * When a user clicks on the “quote” link, nothing happens. It does appear that 
   the link is in the correct format (ex: [https://examplesite.com/forums/topic/discussion/#149](https://examplesite.com/forums/topic/discussion/#149)).
 * However nothing happens when this is clicked.
 * It does seem to work with a base theme. I am using the genesis theme and it does
   not work with this theme.
 * Any ideas on how to fix this?

 * I have made sure that the css and javascript options are enabled and that the
   always include option is enabled as well.

 * JS is definitely not loaded if the quote button is not working. If you enabled
   JS/CSS loading always, and it is not working, most likely you have some unrelated
   jQuery error on the page that prevents my plugins code from working.

 * Thank you for the reply Milan. It turns out that the child theme was developed
   by someone else and they had added code that was preventing the “#” in the URL
   from acting as expected.
