• Hello everyone,

I am wondering if anyone else who installed Quote Master is experiencing problems to access their Dashboard in the admin area. The message I now get when I click on the black bar is “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” I think that coincides with the moment when I installed Quote Master.

I manage to get round it by clicking on Widgets which gives me access to the full menus, but that problem is preventing me from updating the theme from WP 4.0.1 to WP 4.1.

Quote Master is a fantastic plugin and I would hate to have to deactivate it because I have a lot of quotes in it.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

    Greetings dooleymark:

Thank you for choosing to use this plugin. I have Quote Master installed on several of my test sites and have not experienced that issue.

When you say black bar, are you referring to the admin bar when you are viewing the site? If you go to the main /wp-admin and navigate through there do you receive the error?

What theme are you using? What other plugins do you have installed?

Thank you so much Frank Corso for your prompt reply.

Yes, I mean the admin bar. And yes, when I go to http://drmarkdooley.com/wp-admin/ I receive that error.

I am using WP 2013, and the other plugins I have installed are:
    – Black Studio Tiny MCE Widget
    – Custom Sidebars
    – Google Custom Search
    – Post Types Order
    – Quote Master
    – WP Statistics

    Greetings Again dooleymark:

To my knowledge, Quote Master does not clash with any of the plugins you have installed. Are you able to access the plugins to be able to temporarily deactivate Quote Master to see if that resolves the issue?

A handy trick if you have ftp access is to access the wp-content/plugins folder and change the name of a plugin. This will results in WordPress deactivating it in case you do not have access to the plugins page at all.

Thank you very much Frank Corso. I am so glad the problem isn’t with Quote Master, because, once again, it is such a great plugin. Congratulations to you!

If I deactivate Quote Master, do I lose all my quotes?

    Greetings dooleymark:

Oh no, you can deactivate the plugin and your quotes should be there when you activate it again. I would say try deactivating all your plugins temporarily and then activating them one at a time and seeing which one may be causing the issue. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
