# Quiz Shortcode Rendering as Text

    I am trying to use the QUIZ shortcode in a Post. [https://wordpress.com/support/quiz-shortcode/](https://wordpress.com/support/quiz-shortcode/)
 * I have pasted in the sample code into a SHORTCODE block, but the ​output is just
   shown as text. Is this not inbuilt into WordPress or do I need to download an
   additional plugin?

 * That’s because it’s a shortcode available to WordPress.COM sites. 😉
 * To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different

 * You can, however, add its functionality to your self-hosted WordPress.ORG site
