Quits after partial loading

    I’ve got an author who, when she tries to load the front page in Chrome, gets it partially loading and it just stops like it thinks it’s fully loaded. She can see individual post pages just fine but the front page will load the top ads, featured authors, and sometimes part of the top row of text. Pretty much what you can see before needing to scroll normally.

    She’s using an current version of Chrome and is the only Chrome user having this problem. Any thoughts?

    Sounds like an issue with her install of Chrome. Has she tried removing all extensions?

    Yes, we had several other Chrome users, including myself, take a look and the page is loading fine. I’ll have her check her extensions.

    yeah she turned them all off and turned off her theme and still only partially loading for her.

    What happens if she tries using another computer?

    She doesn’t have another computer but everyone else that’s tried it has seen the whole page just fine.

    Then I think you can only assume that it’s browser/computer specific.

    indeed, but what might be some considerations? She’s already tried turning off all her Chrome extensions and that didn’t help. What might some other causes be?

    No idea but it would appear to have nothing to do with WordPress.

    She could try using another browser to see if that gives better results.

    Is she on a Mac while all your other people who have tested it are on PC? Perhaps she’s the only one with a retina screen? Maybe she’s zoomed in or zoomed out (have her reset this by choosing CTRL + 0).

    It could be all kinds of things like these….. who knows! But indeed, it’s not likely that WordPress has anything to do with it.
