• I just upgraded to WP 3.3.1 and edited my quicktag.js file to add some customizations I like.

All my changes work when I click on the quicktag, however, the alt-shift access keys to execute a quicktag function don’t work. For instance, if I press alt-shift-b it does not bold the selected text – unless I press ‘enter’ afterwards. It used to bold the text without pressing ‘enter’.

This problem occurs when composing a new post. I just tried the alt-shift-b in this comment form and it works fine, but not in the new post editor. Weird. Can anyone help?

    Thanks.

  • Did you check out the quicktags-dev.js file first? The quicktags js has been completely rewritten. I’ve just written a small plugin for my own use that adds all of my customisations. Longer term, I’d like to extend it so that non-technical authors can add quicktags but, in the meantime, if you drop me a line via esmi[at]quirm.net, I’ll send you a copy.

Yeah, it was the quicktags-dev.js file that I edited and renamed it to quicktags.js. And the edits themselves work fine. It’s just the access keys that require me to press enter that’s weird.
