 * Hey, just a quick question. I connected Site Kit recently and the setup looks
fine. How long does it usually take before the dashboard starts showing proper
traffic data? Just want to understand the normal wait time.

 * Hello [@raymundo2](https://wordpress.org/support/users/raymundo2/), thanks for
getting in touch. We’re glad to hear you’ve recently installed the Site Kit plugin
and I’d be happy to help you understand the data on your dashboard.
 * As of version 1.170.0, Site Kit includes data for the current day in the dashboard.
Since this update, some users have noticed that new visits don’t appear right
away or that there is a delay in their metrics for the current day.
 * To help clarify how this data is displayed, please keep these two factors in
   mind:
    - **Hourly updates:** Site Kit fetches fresh data approximately once per hour.
It does not refresh every time you load the page.
    - **GA4 processing time: **Google Analytics 4 (GA4) typically [takes 2 to 6 hours](https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/11198161?hl=en#:~:text=Standard%20intraday,2%2D6%20hours)
to process new data. This means data for the current day in Site Kit is usually
a few hours behind your actual live traffic.
 * While you can now see data for the current day, it is subject to standard processing
times and will fluctuate throughout the day as Google Analytics completes its
   processing.
 * The team is working on updating the dashboard to make this more clear in the
near future. I hope this helps you to better understand this but if there’s anything
else I can answer for you then please let me know.
