I have the short-code for my MC4WP in one post on my site, but because different pages would assign (through the {custom_url} parameter) subscribers to a different group on my list, I have to copy and paste the MC4WP form into those other posts, and then edit the form so that the other options are removed, the good option checked and hidden.

I have Embed signups, and I have API signups. I can’t tell which is which. Embed is supposed to be forms from MC, but since these are forms, only generated by MC4WP, maybe they end up being Embeds?

    Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

From embedded forms, I assume once created with MailChimp.com? If they the difference between them and ours, would be that the source field in your list will say “API” for users subscribed using our forms.

You can also create a custom field in your list, and then add some special message to it based on which form the user subscribes.

I hope that answers your query. Let us know if you have any further questions.

No I’m sorry but that doesn’t help me. I figure a form created on Mailchimp and then pasted into a website would be an “embed,” but what about a form created by MC4WP and then pasted into a post or a page? Is that still an embed, or is it an API?

But I’m having a problem with the form that MC4WP is generating anyway. I am customizing it for each post I want to use it on – the shortcode isn’t good enough – and it’s not responding to people entering the form and clicking the submit button.

    Hello,

If you are using our form, then we can definitely assist you but to do so, we would need more details as to what exactly you are trying to do.

In the free version of our plugin, you can only create 1 form. If you want to create multiple forms, then you can purchase our premium add-on at https://mc4wp.com/.

Now, regarding your current setup, what customization are you trying to do for each post?
