I am having the same problem. Further, it keeps going back to the default sidebar, so, I cannot get any of the sidebars to work which have been set up in the pages.

Thanks for the report, mimimi. I’ve confirmed the issue and traced it to a change made in WordPress 3.6. I should be able to provide a fix soon.

    Thanks,
    Brady

I may have discovered an answer to this problem. There seems, at times, depending on the theme, more than one sidebar that is allowed. Some for posts, some for pages, some for portfolios, some for shopping carts and others. Some themes let you choose any one of these as a default in their separate setting. If those setting are different than the default menu that you choose in the readings settings then it won’t work. In my case there were 2 sidebars that could be chosen for pages and I chose the one that said sidebar when I should have chosen one that said sidebar pages which was the default setup in the theme. So, to best help people that cannot find where the other one is set up (as a result of different theme configs) you might just want to say keep choosing themes in the reading settings until you get one that works.

The problem was actually due to a change in WordPress 3.6 and should be addressed with the update (1.1.3) I just released.

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers,
    Brady

    Brady,

Correction to above. I said themes instead of sidebars. It should read: So, to best help people that cannot find where the other one is set up (as a result of different theme configs) you might just want to say keep choosing default sidebars in the reading settings until you get one that works.
