 * Small question. When copying a post with Yoast Duplicate Post, do most people
   clone it as a draft first, then edit the title and slug? I just want to avoid
   publishing anything by mistake.

 * Hi [@iyana303](https://wordpress.org/support/users/iyana303/)
   if you want to
   be safe, use **New Draft** rather than **Clone**. “New Draft” always creates
   a draft copy regardless of settings. “Clone” creates a copy with whatever status
   is configured under **Settings > Duplicate Post > What to copy**, which could
   be something other than draft if someone changed it.
