# Quick-add Image Plugin?

 * Is there a plugin that would allow me to quickly insert an image in a post based
   on an image URL?
 * For example, if I wanted to add this image to my post:
 * [http://www.google.com/images/logo_sm.gif](http://www.google.com/images/logo_sm.gif)
 * Is there a plugin that would allow me to enter something like this in the body
   of the post:
 * [image=http://www.google.com/images/logo_sm.gif]

 * If you’re using the WYSIWYG editor in 2.x, there’s a tool bar button at the top
   of it with a little picture icon.
    Click it. Paste in that url. Click ok.
 * The non-wywsiwyg editor has a similar button at the top labeled “img”. Works 
   the same way though.

 * Thanks HandySolo, I’ve seen that tool, but I was looking for a way to avoid the
   tool and add an image even faster – without having to leave the text box. So,
   if i’m writing a post I can quickly keep typing and add the image, without having
   to click anything. Make sense?

 * Ok, I think I follow – more typing, less clicking is what you’re after.
 * Well, I recall in WP 1.5 there were a couple plugins that would “reformat” the
   post. Honestly I can’t recall their names, but I suspect they handled that sort
   of markup (Texturizer? Markdown? something like those).
 * That being the case… well, I guess I can’t help beyond suggesting the “Post Plugins”
   section over at [http://wp-plugins.net/](http://wp-plugins.net/) I seem some 
   that may be worth checking out.

 * hmmm…
 * i dont think i can just enter html into where i write the post, unless i click“
   edit html”?
 * in other words…could i just enter something like this into the post body?:

 * Not sure if the WYSIWYG editor would be happy (but I’d try), but the other editor
   wouldn’t mind that one bit.
