Support » Plugin: Posterno - Listings Directory & Classifieds » Questions to custom fields

  • Resolved pare81

since the custom fields are working (thanks for your help), I’ve got some questions to this options for listings:

    1. How can I disable standard fields like:
    – Hours of operation
    – Zip-Code
    – Video
    – Social media profiles
    – and so on?

My own custom Fields I can delete. But the existing fields which I not need?

    2. Custom field for pricing
I like to have a custom field for price. It is possible to build a custom field which is “number” format. But there I can not set an “,” comma as decimal seperator. How can I get this to work? Is there an option? Because in Europe we use for common price formats like 1.999,99 EUR which I like to build up. A Dot “.” for thousands seperator and a comma “,” for decimals.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi @pare81

    1) At the moment the only way to disable default fields from the frontend form is to mark them as “admin only”. See here how to make them as admin-only

In the future there will be an option that once enabled, it’ll disable the field entirely both on frontend and admin panel.

    2) The number field is an HTML5 form input field that does not allow any other type of content, this is standard behavior across all browsers.

Right now the only way to make a pricing field would be by using a text field so that any other type of character can be added through the field.

I know this isn’t the best way to create a pricing field, this is why I already plan to add a proper “price” field type to Posterno at some point in the future so that it can be properly formatted including currency.

I have an huge roadmap which I’ll be making public at some point as soon as I’ve sorted it properly.
