1 — The email button opens a new, blank browser window. Can something be re-configured so that doesn’t happen? I read the post here about the “hack” solution, but I can’t find that page/code. Maybe it applies to a different version?

2 — The RSS button opens a page of nothing but code. (I notice the RSS link on this very page does the same thing.) Can someone please direct me to instructions about configuring the proper link in the admin for RSS. I’m not familiar with RSS, just know that it’s a way to subscribe to something.
