Questions about synced users

    Hello i just successfully installed WP-United and created my forums. I have some questions about enabling the synchronicity. My forums are not yet live so that’s why i am asking this. Here it goes when a user registers and a wordpress account will they be able to login to the wordpress dashboard? All i wanted make them able to do is just comment on the website without the need of even knowing they can edit the on-site profile. Just their forum profile is enough. Do i need to install some sort of wordpress permissions plugin to achieve this?

    Well, you can install a plugin like this http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-admin-no-show/ to prevent users accessing to wp-admin pages. It based on user’s role, so if you need to grant assess to admin area for some non-admin users, you’ll need to add a role fot them.

    Thanks for the answer nata-lee. So each user who is synced from phpbb to wordpress will be a Subscriber by default? I’ll take some deeper look at this but i think that’s exactly what i need. Thanks once again

    You define it under the user integration settings at the wpu options
