  • My sitemap (/sitemap_index.xml) contains 4 files and was submitted to GWT about:

Question: What is /attachment-sitemap.xml and do I need it? I’m noticing multiple attachment files indexed in Google:

    And so on

I also submitted an image sitemap… /sitemap-image.xml to GWT.

Question: Is this necessary or should I deleted it?

Inside my /sitemap_index.xml file, GWT is showing the following…

    Item: Web | Submitted: 82 | Indexed: 3

    Item: Web | Submitted: 4 | Indexed: 1

    Item: Web | Submitte: 4 | Indexed: 4
    Images: 3 | Indexed: –

    Item: Web | Submitted: 16 | Indexed: 11
    Images: 43 | Indexed: –

I have no sitemap errors or index errors and no blocked urls.

I have 19 posts but my /post-sitemap.xml file in GWT is showing only 16 posts submitted with 11 posts indexed which is incorrect. Out of the 19 posts, I only have 1 post that’s not indexed in Google. So my /post-sitemap.xml file is suppose to show 19 posted submitted and 19 indexed.

Question: What can I do to make this right?

None of my keyword phrases are returning any of my posts in Google but many of them do return my posts in Bing and Yahoo.

Question: Any idea what could be causing this issue?

    Appreciate help from anyone.
