    Hi Micah,

This is a great plugin–thank you!

When I implement this with the excerpt text included, I see all of the excerpt text is included as part of the hyperlink to the post. Is there a way to disable that so it’s only the image and title that are hyperlinked? Also, is there a way to set the excerpt length? If this can be set in the shortcode, that would be great…

Bonus question: Is it possible to set CSS attributes separately for the title and excerpt text?

Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide.

    Sarah

At the moment, there is no easy way to wrap certain elements and not others with links. From a coding perspective, it can definitely be done. I’ll add that to my list. 😉

As far as controlling the excerpt length, you may want to check out this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-excerpt/. As far as controlling the excerpt length via the shortcode, again, something to add to my list.

As far as the CSS, yes it is possible to set attributes separately for the different elements. The class name for the title is .random-post-on-refresh__title and the class name for the excerpt is .random-post-on-refresh__excerpt.

Thank you! I’ll check out the excerpt plugin. I appreciate your help and feedback and look forward to future versions of this! 🙂
