Question regarding multiple widgets on one page

Hi,

We implemented multiple CRP widgets on a site sidebar recently. We have these widgets show up on product and posts – one widget shows related products, the other shows related posts. Everything seems to be working well, except we run into a problem when we manually set a related posts via the ‘Manual related posts:’ configuration on products and posts. The problem is if we add an ID in the ‘Manual related posts:’ field on the product/post, that product or post shows up in both the Related Products and Related Posts widgets.

Is there a way for those manual related posts to only show up in their respective widgets, eg. posts show up on related posts widget, products show up on related products widget? If we have to switch to using a shortcode instead of a widget accomplish this, that shouldn’t be an issue.
