• Our group has a project that needs a plugin developed which we plan to pay someone to create. This post is NOT about trying to hire someone, we have other resources for that 🙂

Once made, does WordPress allow us to distribute the plugin on Extend for the community? We would give FULL development credit to the creator we hire on our webpage for the plugin.

Please, no flames – we are only looking at this topic in the view of giving away something we need made regardless.

    Thank you

  • There are only a few restrictions:

    1. Your plugin must be GPL Compatible.
    2. It can’t do anything illegal, or be morally offensive (that’s subjective, we know).
    3. You have to actually use the subversion repository we give you in order for your plugin to show up on this site. The WordPress Plugins Directory is a hosting site, not a listing site.
