    Hi,

Thanks for your message. VikBooking can be easily configured to allow bookings for a single listing, a villa in your case.

There are several options to configure the various elements (pages or widgets/blocks) available to allow the booking process. It is definitely recommended to create a Shortcode of type “Room Details”, which will be assigned to a page of your website to display the details of your Villa, together with the booking form and additional elements.

You can also publish a Widget/Block of type “Search Form” in your home page (or any other page) to let your guests pick the stay dates and start the booking process. Since you will only have one room-type, hence one listing, you may want your users to skip the “search results” page, and this can be achieved by publishing a Widget/Block of type “Search Form” on any page of your website, and by choosing the option to force the booking on a precise listing ID. You will find an apposite drop-down menu in the settings of the Widget/Block of type “Search Form” to force the reservations on the selected listing or category. This will generate a booking form element to book your only listing (Villa).

Configuring the booking process in the front-end section of your website is probably the only difference between a one-listing configuration and a multiple listings environment. The rest of the front-end and back-end functionalities will be the same.

    We hope this helps!

    Hello,

We understand your concerns, but the official demo website advertises multiple listings/room-types and so we are not sure if the “Search Form” widget could be featured with a one-listing configuration on that site.

However, we are available to provide assistance at any time through the contact forms on our websites in case you face any issues with the configuration of Shortcodes or Widgets/Blocks. Feel free to reach out to our team should you have any difficulties.

    Hi,

Sorry for not understanding, are you saying that you dont know if Search Form will work with one listing like a Villa rental?

    Hi,

Apologies for the misunderstanding. We know for sure that some of our clients use VikBooking to manage the reservations and any other aspect for a single listing, like a Villa.

Also, the “Search Form” widget/block comes with a setting that allows to configure the booking process over a specific listing/room ID. This parameter was implemented exactly for those who need to skip the search results page, maybe because they only have one listing.

What we don’t know if whether the official demo website will ever display a similar configuration, because of course it advertises multiple listings/room types.

All you need to do is configure VikBooking on your website with your Villa and the related rate plan(s) and pricing information. For the public section of your website you can use a Shortcode of type “Room Details” to display an Airbnb-style listing details page for bookings, and you can eventually publish the “Search Form” widget/block in the home page (just like in the official demo website), upon configuring it to book an exact listing ID, which will be your only Villa.

We invite you to reach out to our technical support team through our website should you have any questions with this configuration.

    Thank you!
