Question about whitelist behavior

I have a question about how Zero Spam processes whitelist IPs.

I want the internal links between posts on my site, and Zero Spam appears to be doing too good a job blocking those trackbacks 🙂

I’ve added the server’s IP to the whitelist, using the IP that shows up in the trackback, but those don’t show up in the pending comments list unless I completely disable the plugin. Basically, the whitelist is ignored.

Once I disable the plugin, then save the post with the links, the trackbacks I want show up as pending, then I have to enable the plugin again else the spammers pounce hard.

Is this atypical plugin behavior?
