question about the look of my website (6 posts)

    first of let me say hi! to everyone I am new here

    I am also new to wordpress, my website is http://www.xariirad.com, I want to make it look like this http://www.boramanews.com site where on first page i see thumb nails of the posts then someone clicks on it they can go to the post or article to read

    I have no idea what that setup is called but i will be happy to learn and read about once I know what it is called

    The easiest way is to add an image into the post, and align it left. If it's too large, you can resize it.

    ok thanks for the response, I will try that, can you advise on how to make the site middle left and right columns like in Boramanews.com example, so my main posts go in middle then additionan ones run on right and left?

    If you want a certain layout for your site, the easiest way to do that is to look for a theme that has it already set up that way. There are many great themes with all kinds of layouts and styles here:

    i saw these but they do not look like what I wanted to look like, could please let me know what they used on this website http://www.hadhwanaag.com/ or this one http://somaliland24.com/ , i need my post to be shown as thumb nails and once i click on them they take me to the actual article

    The first site you linked to is not a WP site; the second is using a custom theme.

    There are many themes that have the basic layout you describe - a few that might be closer - you probably need to download and test the themes - as all the layout options may not be visible in the demo:






    Alternatively, you can always create your own layout using custom templates:


    That kind of approach would need to be done in a Child Theme:
