# Question About Shortcodes

 * Having some trouble getting a schedule to render on my site. Right now when I
   add the shortcode to the page it just renders the shortcode. See [http://charlesriverrugby.com/womens-team/matches/](http://charlesriverrugby.com/womens-team/matches/).
   Not sure what exactly may be causing the issue. My theme doesn’t appear to be
   stripping out shortcodes.

 * Hi pcav339,
    This is usually because you have entered the shortcode on the VISUAL
   tab. It has to be entered on the TEXT tab. Let me know. -Mark

 * Hi Mark. Thank you for the speedy response. I’ve tried that a couple times at
   it doesn’t seem to be working. Any other thoughts on what it could be? I do see
   some JQuery error issues in the console, but I’m not sure if those are related.

 * Shortcodes are case sensitive. Try lower case.

 * Hi Genevieve,
    I looked at the link you provided and everything is still UPPER
   CASE. Try it with the `mstw_gs_table` and the `sched` as lower case. (I can see
   the confusion. My dev site shows upper case, but that’s because of the style 
   for the <h3> tag in the theme. I’ll fiz that ASAP.)
 * If that doesn’t work, then something in your theme is blocking the shortcode 
   from executing, but I haven’t seen that except in widget areas. What theme are
   you using? Are you putting the shortcode in a text widget, perchance?
