# Question about security

 * I’m beginning a website for a client and considering WordPress so they can make
   minor edits on their own. I’m concerned, though, because I’m reading that it’s
   easy to hack. Could anyone please tell me if there’s a list anywhere of plugins
   known to be secure or not? I think I would have to use plugins for the eLearning
   and Podcasting part of the site, but please correct me if this can be done right
   in WordPress. Also wondering if WordPress used alone without any plugins is secure,
   or are there still vulnerabilities? Thank you for your help!

 * Just keep your plugins up to date. Nothing is prefectely secure. New vulnerabilities
   will probably always be found, so keep up to date.
 * Also, I recommend installing the plugin WordFence to help secure the site.
 * You may want to implement some (if not all) of [the recommended security measures](https://wordpress.org/support/article/hardening-wordpress/).
