# Question about post errors

 * I am having an issue that only occurs with some of the posts on my page and I’m
   not sure why and what is different about these posts. I have tried doing some
   debugging and sometimes get a 500 internal error and sometimes I don’t. I have
   also tried disabling plugins and the post seems to come back and then I re-activate
   plugins until I find one that causes the post to disappear. Then I go without
   that plugin for a day or two only to have it happen again. I try the plugin deactivation
   again and deactivating a different one seems to help, until it doesn’t again 
   and a plugin that seemed to cause an issue before now works fine with the post.
   The post will also come up, but only the featured image shows, none of the rest
   of the content and the sidebar disappears. I tried going back to WordPress 4.0
   and that seemed to help some, but then I started having 504 Gateway errors and
   additional trouble with posts.
 * I’m really not sure what to do now as I’ve tried everything I can think of and
   the problem seems so random to me and I can’t isolate the issue. I’ll admit that
   I’m not great at this debugging thing as my coding skills are fairly basic. Here

   I have also talked with my designer and server, who have tried some things, but
   nothing has been able to resolve this problem for me.

 * Random 500 and 504 errors often indicate that your server is overloaded. Are 
   you on a shared server of any type? Who does your hosting?

 * No, I’m on a dedicated DV server with Media Temple. I already checked my resources
   and there doesn’t seem to be a problem there.

 * I reinstalled WordPress 4.0 and the posts seem to be working for now, but don’t
   know if more issues are going to crop up again. I have had more trouble with 
   this since moving to WordPress 4.2.2, though not sure why.
