Question about memory/resources

    Hi. I have a small web design business and have a VPS with KnownHost where I host a few sites I have built for clients. Right now I have four live sites on there. Three are flat HTML/CSS and one is a WordPress install with a customized template. I’ve been having a lot of issues with my server going down recently due to resource issues. I keep hitting the limit on my RAM (I started with 384MB, and I’m now up to 640MB) which freezes everything up.

    Looking at my traffic stats, here is the per month memory usage: 9.38 MB, 40.1 MB, 8.07 MB, and 5,344 MB (!!!). That last one is the WordPress install. Now, this is the largest site, both in terms of traffic and content. But not enough to bear that number out. I have Google Analytics & AWStats telling me that.

    Can all that resource hogging be solely attributable to WordPress??? I don’t know what else it can be at this point. Thanks in advance for any advice.
