# Question about changing permalink structure

 * Okay, so I set up all of the permalinks on my blog in this fashion: [http://defaultprime.com/2009/05/31/is-the-spy-the-scouts-father/](http://defaultprime.com/2009/05/31/is-the-spy-the-scouts-father/),
   with the date and everything. Well, I would like to make it so that it’s just
   [http://defaultprime.com/is-the-spy-the-scouts-father/](http://defaultprime.com/is-the-spy-the-scouts-father/),
   without the date, but I would like to know if there was a way to redirect the
   first link to the second one, because I have a lot of trackbacks and link-backs
   that I don’t want broken.
 * So, when you go to [http://defaultprime.com/2009/05/31/is-the-spy-the-scouts-father/](http://defaultprime.com/2009/05/31/is-the-spy-the-scouts-father/),
   it will take you to [http://defaultprime.com/is-the-spy-the-scouts-father/](http://defaultprime.com/is-the-spy-the-scouts-father/)–
   so essentially you’re using both. If anyone can help it is GREATLY appreciated.
