Question about categories

    Good afternoon.
    I want to make a directory of car dealers in my country.
    I am reading the plugin documentation but I have doubts about how to organize the categories.
    I need a user to be able to find all the dealers of all the brands in the whole country, as well as filter by cities or find the dealers of a single brand in the country or in his city.

    I am aware that for this I may need the advanced search addon.

    But my doubt is if the brand (ford dealer, audi dealer) is a category, a tag or a custom field.

    I would also like to know if for this I would need an addon apart from the advanced search add on.

    Hi,

    categories sound like the best way in your case.

    That way you can add the car brand logo to the map markers too.

    I’d use conditional custom fields, only if you needed to add the models as well.

    You will most likely need the location manager too.
