    I don’t see the theme editor in my dashboard to add the code to go from older and newer posts to numbered pages

    Sorry, the instructions are https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-pagenavi/ under the description. It used to be under installation but the redesigned plugins directory removed it.

    Contact our theme author would be the best. There are too many possibilities. I don’t use many themes out there, so I can only provide general guidelines as stated in the description.
