Query thumbnail, title, & excerpt of a specific post

  • I created a page. I would like to query the thumbnail, title, and excerpt of specific posts. How can I do this? Or can you point me to the right direction.

    I looked around but I haven’t found a solution yet. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

  • This is what I have:

    <?php
    	query_posts('p=3442'); ?>

    	<?php

    	if ( ! empty( $category_description ) )
    	echo '' . $category_description . '';
    	get_template_part( 'loop');

    	?>

    This successfully gets a specific post & its thumbnail. However it omits the excerpt and shows all the posts content too. Can someone help me?
