    Hi,

After updating to version 1.5.3 (Multi Select number of ticket according to user type), we are experiencing issues with the quantity buttons.

On product/event pages, clicking the plus or minus buttons increases or decreases the quantity by 2 instead of 1. This leads to incorrect ticket counts and inconsistent behavior.

After some testing, it appears there is a JavaScript conflict between the new quantity logic introduced in 1.5.3 and existing quantity scripts (likely from themes such as Avada or WooCommerce enhancements). The issue did not occur in version 1.5.1. (1.5.2 we didn’t install yet)

We also noticed in some cases:

    • Wrong ticket variation being added to the cart
    • Quantity behaving inconsistently (sometimes correct, sometimes doubled)

Rolling back to version 1.5.1 resolves all issues immediately.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Use version 1.5.3 and Avada theme
    2. Go to an event product page, flush cache and reload page
    3. Click the + or – button on ticket quantity
    4. Quantity changes by 2 instead of 1

Could you please check if the new multi-select quantity feature is attaching duplicate event listeners or conflicting with standard WooCommerce quantity scripts?

Happy to provide more details or testing if needed.

    Thanks in advance!
    Best, Tom

  • Hello Tom,

Thank you for reaching out and providing those details.

After looking into your query, I wanted to clarify the behavior you’re seeing. This isn’t actually a bug, but rather a function of the new Multi-Select feature introduced in version 1.5.3.

When a customer selects more than one user type for a ticket, the system is designed to treat these as separate line items in the cart to ensure each user type is accounted for correctly. The “jump” in quantity you are seeing in the interface reflects the total number of distinct ticket entries being added to the cart based on those selections.

    Hi Abhay,

    Thanks for your explanation.

I understand the idea behind the multi-select feature and treating different user types as separate line items. However, the current behavior is very confusing from a user perspective.

When clicking the plus or minus buttons, users expect the quantity to increase or decrease by 1 per click. At the moment, the interface behaves as if multiple clicks are happening at once, which feels like a bug rather than intended behavior.

In our case (and likely many others), only a single user type is selected, yet the quantity still increases by 2. This makes it quite impossible to control the number of tickets and leads to incorrect selections.

Also, this behavior did not occur in version 1.5.1, which worked as expected with standard WooCommerce quantity controls.
So even if this is technically “by design”, the current implementation does not follow standard WooCommerce UX and causes confusion for users.

Would it be possible to only apply this multi-select logic when multiple user types are actually selected or provide an option to disable this behavior and fall back to standard quantity controls?

Happy to test or provide more details if needed.

    Thanks again.

    Best Tom

    Hello Abhay,
It seems WP Rocket has something to do with not showing the right prices on the checkout. When we deactivate cache on product level, the 1.5.1 version has no problems.
Are there files I have to exclude from cache?

    Best Tom

    Hello Tom,

Regarding your question about WP Rocket, you shouldn’t need to manually exclude any specific files from the cache to resolve this. To ensure your checkout and pricing display correctly without having to disable caching at the product level, we’d like to take a closer look at your configuration.

Please connect with our support team directly through our official channels. They will be able to investigate your specific setup and help you resolve the caching conflict further.
