  • I also have the same issue. With VTDE plugin installed qTranslateX is disabled on category description in LSB mode. It is working thought if using Raw Editor mode of qTranslateX, with shortcodes, like:

[:en]English text [:fr] texte français [:ro] text în română

… so, I think only the behaviour of the text editor is affected not the entire qTranslateX plugin.

I have not tried it, but, as a general note, if the author of VTDE does the things in the same way as it is done with TinyMCE editor on post.php page, then qtx should automatically pick TinyMCE editors and make them respond to LSB.

Alternatively, you may add .json entries to make any fields you wish to be multilingual: https://qtranslatexteam.wordpress.com/integration/.

John, can you (or anybody else) please be so kind and add example .json code here so the QTX starts working with it?

    Hey guys,

I’ve had a look at this a few times since it was asked, but as I have no experience using qTranslate-X, it took me a while to work out what changes had to be put in place to make this plugin compatible.

I eventually managed to work it out, and now the latest version – 1.7.0 – should support qTranslate-X on the visual term description editor. Hopefully this works!
