Hello, i’m creating my own theme and now im facing a big problem.

1:How can i show a page as my first post in homepage and keeping all the post list along with the pagination. ( I don’t use loop php, but isn’t there a simple option to call the page to list in the index.php file ? )

2:Have a static homepage listing the rest of the posts with pagination.

( My need is to have div before showing all the posts )

Sorry if it’s a bit confusing. And btw im not an wordpress expert because i started on it 2 days ago (came from blogger template system)

    1. That’s the wrong approach. See creating a static front page. If you want to also include a list of Posts, you can o so using a secondary Loop within a front-page.php template file.

    2. a page of posts

Also having troubles in getting the pagination to work, and when i get something to work, both pages show the same post.

Hard to do this things without being comfortable with php.

Hmm i think i got another solution. I’m going to call the last 10-20 posts and link with MORE to a static blog page.
