    hi
There are two settings for cookie expiration:

After this box is triggered or dismissed, how many hours should it stay hidden?

    When dismissed – that’s clear.
But when the box is triggered – why would I want it to hide for hours?

When the box is triggered then it is dismissed, actioned or ignored.
If anything, I’d like to select how many seconds I want the box to stay on when ignored. (both dismissal and action will resolve it).

Could you possibly clarify this for me please, including what setting is recommended and why (how many hours). At present, I have it at 0.

    Hey @magicpowers,

The triggered setting is to not show the box on page reload or say you have set the box to show on all pages, and when the user goes from 1 page to another, if you have set a time period for the cookie, then the box will not open on the other pages.

    hi @hchouhan

thanks – So this means that if the box is set to open “everywhere” it will open on EACH page if the visitor is browsing through the pages?? I assumed that “everywhere” relates to any page or post on the site that the visitor has entered, that’s it – not that it will keep popping up on every page…..

WOW. this is actually very important – I recommend you include this info in the plugin dashboard.

But in this case I would perhaps expect the cookie setting to be in minutes rather than hours….

PS re box not showing up – I will post another reply on that thread soon. Last night thanks to another plugin my website crashed and I had to restore it from backup. Now I’m redoing my boxes from scratch – let’s see if they all come up.
