Putting Multi-site live from sub directory

Hi All,

We have a multisite setup in a sub directory called:

/dav_2016/ – Within that directory we have the main site and a blog site:

/dav_2016/latest-blog/

Currently the website is running fine from the /dav_2016/ area, but we need to put it live so that there is an index file on the root that loads the site in the dev_2016 folder.

Normally on a single site install it would be a matter of copying the index to root and the .htaccess file, but this doesn’t seem to work for multi-site installs.

I would be most grateful if someone from the WordPress community could help.
