    You would need access to your database, drop all the table, then upload your file to restore to previous state.

    I think you may want to Google and learn about phpmyadmin and the many functions available therein.

    You also need to know what are the things in the zip file. There has 3 possibilities:
    Complete backup: database and content files
    Database only backup
    Content files only backup

    To restore your database, the easiest is using phpMyAdmin as what flashbuddy said. To restore content files, you may use File Manager, to delete existing file, uncompress and replace with the backup files. But if your webhost is not using cPanel, things may be different.

    Does the Better WP Security break your website? Restoring a website can be risky if you don’t know how to do it properly. So, I think it will be easier to repair it if the problem the plugin break your website.
