  • Ok I didnt explain that very well….what I would like to do is have a picture instead of the menu items….like recent comments, links, categories, archives etc. What Im really going to do is use a fancy font but save it as a jpeg. Would I just put the location of the jpeg in the css instead of the words “comments” for instance….like i would do for the header image?

    Sort of, yes.
    You need to specify the image to use for each section.
    If you ‘View Source’ on your page, you will see code like this:
    <li id="blogs-of-note">Blogs of Note
    and you need to write css for that id.
    It goes like this:
    #menu ul li#blogs-of-note {}
    and then the conditions, so for an image background, it would be:
    #menu ul li#blogs-of-note {
    background-image: url(‘blogsofnotejpg’);
    }
    The tricky bit is not getting the text there, but ensuring the text appears below in the menu. I’ve not tried this but methods could be setting a big negative margin for the words here but undoing that change for the text elements below it.

    Hmmmmm, seems tricky.
    Thanks will try stuff out !
