Putting a menu link to my main site on a sub site.

    I am using wp-multisite. I set up my main site and built it at mainsite.com. Now I am building an additional site at subsite.mainsite.com (eventually there will be many). What I want to know is, is there a way when building another site to put a link in a menu to a page on the main site?

    I can hardcode these things in a functions.php, but I want user to potentially be able to edit things.

    I could just put a link in, but we are on a dev server right now and the url will be changing.

    Hard code it into the theme, pretty much, or make a network plugin (like in mu-plugins) that does it. But remember, you’re making multiple separate sites here.
