• I want to put wordpress at trangalang.com, and not /wordpress. How do I do this?
Where it says “If you want your blog homepage to be different than the directory you installed WordPress in, enter that address here.” I put ‘http://trangalang.com’ but it still didn’t change. Is there certain coding I should be putting on my index.php file? Thanks.

  • Note that the codex link provided was specifically “having WordPress as default while it’s in another directory”. Two other options:

    1) Install WordPress to the home directory of your web site.
    2) Repoint the web servers home directory to the one where you installed WordPress

You choice depends on what you think is most work. You could move your wordpress files up a level for “1”. Or, you could edit your web server config file for “2”. Or, you could follow the instructions in the codex above and just move two files and do some editing.
