Put the latest version on the home page

  • Just a simple request.
I visit sites from time to time and check that my software is up to the latest version, it’d be great if the Latest Version (Stable) was noted somewhere on the front page.
It’d save me the time of having to load the download page, then having to load the Sourceforge.net page and check the version number there.
I’d much rather visit this site instead of bookmarking and visiting sourceforge’s download page.
    Thanks.

  • I agree. I think it’s a bit confusing when there’s essentially 3 different packages you could get at any time (stable, RC, nightlies) but they don’t all appear on the same page and the difference between them isn’t spelled out. I’m not saying there shouldn’t be the 3 packages since that’s the nature of WP, but there should be links and descriptions for each of them.
