Put text into "write post"? (3 posts)

hello, I used to use blogger.com and we had a feature called "Post Template" where I could insert a snippet of text that would appear in the textarea by default whenever I created a new post since I would use that text for each of my posts.

I tried searching but found that post templates referred to the actual page template.

is there any way I could add default text into the editor so that it would appear whenever I needed to write a post instead of having to copy and paste everytime?

    thanks in advance.

I did this by editing in new quicktags when I needed this sort of thing. Click the qt button, text appears in write screen.... I did complex tables, lots of stuff.

I actually prefer using the quicktags.js file edits rather than edit-form-advanced - the quicktags.js file seems (to my mind) to be less likely to get changed version to version, which means that so far when I've uploaded the "old" quicktags.js file into a new wp version, I haven't had any problems.

Bound to get me some day I suppose.
