Support » Themes and Templates » Put borders around Twenty Twelve template and chance navigation bar look

  • Hi,

    My Site: http://www.penguincheatscp.x10.mx/wp/
Template: Twenty Twelve theme from WordPress
I would like my site to look very simple and look like this website:
    ClubPenguinCP.com

So could someone tell me how to get rid of the bottom line/borders and put in new borders that cover the the whole template, header, posts, sidebar, and footer? And also have my drop down navigation bar to look like the one on ClubPenguinCP.com? I know this is a lot to ask, but I really just like the template that way.

    Thanks!

It sounds like you’ll need to make modifications to your website using a Child Theme‘s stylesheet. Are you familiar with CSS?

I believe this is a child theme

There is not a child theme active on that site. That’s the first thing you need to do — otherwise all your changes will get wiped out when WP is updated. You really don’t want to go there.

Once you have the child theme set up, you’ll need to know or learn enough CSS to make the changes you want. People here can give some help, but they can’t do extensive custom work for you — and that menu may be fairly complex to implement in a WP theme unless you know CSS, HTML and maybe some other coding as well.
