Hi, recently the owner of a sports website asked me if I could change the push notification system(currently using OneSignal) so a user could only track categories they liked.

So I would like to know if there is a plugin, that can sort out which messages it should push based on the wordpress article categories.

If there isn’t any already built solution, how hard would it be to implement on a website. The major downside would it be that there is already a massive amount of categories.

    Howdy @mangoman09,

    Wow, great question.

I can tell you how I’ve approached this in the past – I’ve used a service like MailChimp and have setup RSS-to-Email Campaigns that watch the RSS feed for a specific category and, when new content is published in that category, MailChimp pulls it into an email and sends to everyone who is subscribed to that category.

That’s more of a pull than a push, but the outcome is the same.

    I hope that helps!
