Punctuation replaced by ampersand and hash

  • Hi,
I run a blog that uses an rss feed to display parts of posts from other blogs. All the wordpress blogs replace things like apostrophes with code such as #4321. MSN has text from my page taken from those feeds, and also displays the code instead of punctuation.

The closest I could find when searching is someone who had a whole page as an include, with 2 different charsets, but that isn’t the case here. I won’t post the link to my blog as it is adult related, so while I realise that isn’t very helpful (not posting a link) maybe someone has run across this problem before?

I’m using wordpress 1.5.2 as are the others that are using wordpress.

    Text shown:

    ‘figure to her 5and#8242;9and#8243; frame’

Thanks in advance to anyone who may have some ideas 🙂
