Hi, this version of Single Latest Posts supports default taxonomies only. The Premium version has advanced taxonomy capabilities.

The way to achieve this in the premium version is:

    [slposts custom_post_type=portfolio]

If you are using complex taxonomies like: custom categories and tags, it is possible to query for them as well:

    [slposts custom_post_type=portfolio taxonomy_cat=portfolio_category taxonomy_tag=portfolio_tag]

There are also more powerful parameters to pull posts from database. It is only $9.99 check it out here: Single Latest Posts if you want to see a live example of multiple custom taxonomies using Single Latest Posts premium check this site: which is my brother’s (and partner) portfolio, he is a Designer so he used 3 categories for 1 custom post type to show his work.

This is how it looks in his site:

    [slposts custom_post_type=portfolio

If you know how to code, you could tweak Single Latest Posts Lite to make it work for you, here is the Codex which contains useful information about post types: WordPress Post Types.

*Edited to add further details about how it is used.
