I have downloaded pubsubhubbub 1.6 zip file and extracted all the contents into a folder on my desktop.

The instructions for installation say first to:

Upload the pubsubhubbub directory to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory

What do they mean by “the pubsubhubbub directory”?

Is that everything that is in the folder I have that contains the extracted zip files? Or is it something else? It would be most helpful if someone could tell me what this is, where to find it, and how to get it into the wp-content/plugins/ directory.

I cannot proceed further with getting this plugin onto my blog until I know what they are talking about that needs to be uploaded to the
    /wp-content/plugins/ directory.

Also, do I need to “disable feed caching” and if so, what is that and how do I do that? I have WP Super Cache and RSS Feed Checker installed and activated; are either of them going to conflict with the pubsubhubbub?

  • Instead of uploading the folder, install the plugin from the dashboard of WordPress (where it says Add New on the Plugins menu).

Otherwise, make sure the contents of the zip are in a directory called ‘pubsubhubbub’ in your WordPress plugins directory.
